STRAITSMOUTH or MILK ISLAND, ROCKPORT/GLOUCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS 1940s Black ink on paper and ink wash on paper: 5 x 7 5/8 inches Signed: Corbino (lower right) Unframed, Unmatted Note: This drawing is of either Straitsmouth or Milk Island that are bird sanctuaries and have no boat access. The third Turks Head Island is Thatcher Island that has a lighthouse and was named by Captain John Smith in 1614. Corbino lived in Rockport during the summer for over thirty years.
