YVES BRAYER

(1907-1990)

Les chevaux en Camarque

Date: circa mid 1950s (1957)

Color Lithograph

Age-toned heavy paper: 14 ½ x 22 inches

Signed: Yves Brayer (lower left) with pencil in margin

Embossed publisher’s stamp in paper (lower left): GUILDE DE LA GRAVURE

Numbered:?/200 (lower right) with pencil in margin

Frame: Vintage ornate gold leaf? under glass:

17 ¾ x 25 ¾ x ¾ inches

Condition: Excellent over all condition, light brownish age-toned paper, a few foxing spots, stain near embossed publisher’s stamp, a few crinkles in surface of paper. Most of the above can be covered with matting. Frame has dings on corners. The print is attached to the back board with PH balanced removable hinges. The images were taken under the canopy of my oak tree and any perceived color discoloration or white lines within the print's image are the reflections of the Florida sun off the glass. In 1991, the Yves Brayer Museum opened at Les Baux de Provence, France.
